Dr. Mike Rivera, DC. I am a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, Palmer College is the founding graduate school of chiropractic medicine. I also graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with a minor in coaching. While attending Southwest Minnesota State University I was part of both the football and track teams.
I grew up in Windom, Minnesota, a small town in southwest Minnesota. Although I grew up in the Midwest, the South has become my new home and be part of the Mt Pleasant community has been great!
Some of my hobbies are working out, going to concerts, watching football, and spending time with friends and family.
Chiropractic has helped me throughout my life and athletic career. Injuries such as back spasms and concussions have put me on the sidelines in my career and chiropractic treatment helped me get back on the field faster. I suffered my last concussion in 2017 and couldn’t move my head and neck for over 3 days without pain. I was able to see a chiropractor after the 3rd day and immediately saw results from treatment. From this experience, I wanted to use chiropractic to help others. I am very excited to help patients of the area and join the Mt Pleasant area!
Dr. Kasey Oliver. I am the clinic director in the Spine Pain Center Mt Pleasant, SC office. I graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College and have been practicing for a number of years. I am excited to be a part of the Spine Pain Center team and to serve the Lowcountry area! Prior to attending Palmer College, I was a medical device sales rep for Johnson and Johnson where I sold medical equipment for spinal surgeries.
The opportunity to see spinal surgeries in the operating room was a breathtaking experience. During this time, I realized my true calling is to help patients with conservative care before opting to invasive measures such as surgery. I attended Coastal Carolina University for undergrad where I played softball. As a former collegiate athlete, I am enthusiastic about working with other athletes and their physical needs. However, while at Palmer College I was introduced to my passion of family chiropractic and working with pediatrics and expectant mothers.
I am certified in Webster Technique for Prenatal care and have completed and obtained my certification in pediatric and family care (CACCP- Certified by the Academy Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics). When I am not at the office, I love to spend quality time with my family, workout, watch sports, and travel! I was born in Savannah, Georgia and I have lived in eight different states, butt have found my home in Mt Pleasant, SC! I love warm weather and anywhere with a great view is my favorite place to be. I look forward to helping as many patients as I can at my office Spine Pain Center Mt Pleasant.
