I’m Dr. Murphy, I began my journey in pursuit of being a health care provider by obtaining my undergraduate degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, in biology with cum laude honors. While pursuing my undergraduate studies, with plans of then becoming a Physician Assistant, I dedicated myself to serving my community of Syracuse, NY as an NYS EMT.
My introduction to the benefits of chiropractic care came through my work as an EMT. During my shifts, I often transported patients to various healthcare providers. The physically demanding nature of the job, involving frequent lifting of patients and equipment, eventually led to a serious lower back injury for me. Initially, I sought relief from my family doctor, who prescribed muscle relaxers, but they provided little relief. At the suggestion of a family member, I decided to try chiropractic care. Within just two weeks of regular visits to my chiropractor, I experienced complete relief from pain. This transformative experience led me to reconsider my career path. Instead of pursuing Physician Assistant school, I resolved to dedicate myself to helping patients find alternative methods of pain relief, such as chiropractic care, rather than relying solely on prescription drugs and surgery. Thus, I made the decision to apply to chiropractic school, determined to make a difference in people's lives through conservative care.
I completed my Chiropractic education at Northeast College of Health Sciences, formerly New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY in March 2024. There, I excelled academically, graduating with honors. I also pursued various certifications, including Nimmo, a soft tissue technique, Whole Foods nutrition, and advanced analysis of the lower extremities and orthotics application.
With a deep appreciation for conservative care for pain relief, I feel that I bring a comprehensive approach to patient care; blending conventional chiropractic, nutrition, and soft tissue manipulation techniques together. I also value the relationships I build with my patients because I believe that my patients and I are truly a team when it comes to accomplishing their goals whether that be pain relief, increased mobility, or just trying to stay active.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy hiking with my dog, going to the gym, spending quality time with friends and family, and traveling.
I look forward to meeting you.
