Neck Pain
If you have neck pain due to a sports injury or a medical condition, the discomfort can significantly affect your daily activities. At Spine Pain Center in North Myrtle Beach, SC, we provide non-invasive treatments to reduce your symptoms and help you feel your best. Before visiting us, take a look at some common causes of neck pain below:
Common Causes of Neck Pain
There are several factors that can cause neck pain, such as auto accident injuries, arthritis, herniated discs, and pinched nerves. Poor posture can also lead to discomfort and even cause headaches. Some nerves in your cervical spine may sustain damage as well if you don’t fix the way you position your body. Over time, your muscles may also weaken and become more vulnerable to injuries.
Treatments for Neck Pain
Our chiropractors may use a combination of treatments to reduce your neck pain. We may start with chiropractic adjustments, which properly align your pain and relieve discomfort. Along with the adjustments, we might utilize spinal decompression. This method utilizes a specialized machine to stretch your spine and take pressure off of the discs. Additionally, your care plan may include cold laser therapy, as it can reduce inflammation and help you heal faster.
What to Expect During Your First Visit
When you visit us, we will perform a physical exam and review your medical history. Afterward, our chiropractors will develop a treatment plan for your specific needs. You might also have your first treatment during the initial consultation. While you may experience relief after, it is important to stay consistent with your care plan to recover completely.
